Sarira(s) is a dance performance inspired by the biological cycle of life and death and spiritual doctrines – emanating from Sarira Traya, a Doctrine of the Three Bodies in Hinduism. The set forms a cave of life, a workshop where the body awakens and decays. Dancers are clothed in costumes reflecting dimensions of mutated bodies: externalized skin, organs and dust. Sarira(s)’was performed at the WCA Theatre and MU Grove Theatre in December 2017.
